Panther National: Golf with a Touch of Gold in Palm Beach
Business Traveler, January 23, 2024
Panther National, the first private golf club to open in Palm Beach County in two decades, is set to redefine luxury living in a region known for bringing on the best of the best.
Designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus in collaboration with PGA Tour star Justin Thomas, Panther National’s golf course combines Nicklaus’ traditional design with Thomas’ modern perspective. The collaboration between the two golf greats marks the first time Nicklaus and Thomas have teamed up to work together on a golf course project. The new course features steep elevation changes, double fairways, deep bunkers, and expansive sandy waste areas as well as challenging downhill tee shots, uphill approaches, and semi-blind shots—all welcomed course differentiators.
But Panther National is more than a golf course. It is also about state-of-the-art technology, including ball tracing and indoor simulators, and elite PGA professionals on staff for tailored instruction. Whether you’re new to the game or want to sharpen your swing, Panther National’s 9-hole, par-3 short course and practice bays are worth a visit.
A Golfer’s Paradise: Living the Life
For those who want to live the game, Panther National offers 218 custom-built, modern estates designed by renowned architect Max Strang. These grand domiciles combine sleek elegance with ecologically sensitive construction products and green building practices—all just steps away from a sprawling Lifestyle Club and Clubhouse. There, find Michelin-inspired cuisine, a state-of-the-art fitness hub, a sophisticated tennis complex, lavish resort-style pools, and a bounteous courtyard with a fire pit and expansive views.
Golf enthusiasts who wish to own a piece of this dream can choose from multiple floor plans ranging from 4,700 to more than 10,000 square feet with three to six bedrooms. Each home includes a two- or three-car garage with electric car charging units, space for a golf cart, an outdoor kitchen, and a private pool.
The Panther National opened its 18-hole championship course last November and, in Fall 2024, expects to deliver the first of its community homes.
“Panther National is creating modern residences that blend elegant architecture and energy sustainability,” says Strang. “I am pleased to collaborate with the Panther National development team and Tesla as they share the goal of building cleaner, more resilient communities.”
The vision for Panther National comes from Dominik Senn, a retired Swiss alpine ski racer and president of 4sports & Entertainment. Senn’s desire to create a modern, lifestyle-driven golf community in South Florida led him to select the desirable Palm Beach Gardens plot surrounded by a 2,400-acre conservation area.
“More than five years in the making, my vision for Panther National was initially inspired by what I believe is a void in the market,” says Senn. “I feel strongly that there is a desire for a new modern, lifestyle-driven golf community that redefines luxury living.”
